Garments play an important role for the Bangladesh economy. Apart from being Bangladesh's major source of export revenue, it also provides employment for thousands.
Given this context, a seminar on FDI and Productivity in the Garment Industry was organized at the World Bank office on 22 August, 2005. The seminar was jointly sponsored by the Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and the British High Commission.
